Felt at home instantly! The Victorian charm was amazing, and the communal kitchen was a lifesaver. Such a great fit for my style!

It was a convenient location for our trip (attend reunion at Wheelock College). We liked the atmosphere, and in particular the picture of JFK in the staircase.
We were told that no one would be available to accept our payment until 9AM the next morning, and we had to leave earlier, which caused us some concern. As it turned out, we did find someone in time. Also, the air conditioner in the room didn't work very well, so it was stuffy in there.

Great location...we walked to the Isabella Stewart Gardiner museum along the river path. Very clean. Might be better for longer stays as there is a laundry room and a kitchen.
They could have better bath towels.

The Longwood Inn is quite different from any other hotel or inn. The interior is beautiful with wood paneling and William Morris style wallpaper. The inn does not offer any breakfasts or other meals. Instead there is a well-equipped kitchen which guests may use to make whatever they want from a cup of coffee to an evening meal.Beds are very comfortable, and the standard of housekeeping is excellent. Brookline is only about 10 or 15 minutes from central Boston; there are 2 t (metro) stations within easy walking distance.

The best part was the nearby renovated public park-perfect for letting the little ones run around and for family tennis matches. The spacious living area in our apartment gave us plenty of room to relax.
In my wife's opinion, a small play area would be great.

It was extremely comfortable, and perfect for a no-nonsense stay. The lobby has a lot of character and our room was unique and interesting, with a newly renovated bathroom. The location was convenient to dining, shops, and the "t" into downtown and sites. My travel companion parked her car in the parking lot for free and left it the entire weekend. It was a great value.

We enjoyed our stay at the long wood inn. It was just a few blocks from the t station. If you want to cook meals there is a full kitchen. Very home like and comfortable. And clean.
The bedspreads and blankets are synthetic, they should be cotton and of higher quality. The bedspreads were so awful that they continually slipped off the bed. A place of this quality should think of replacing them.

A charming place with a fully equipped shared kitchen, perfect for preparing meals. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep and the outdoor balcony offered a lovely view of the nearby park. Located close to public transportation and restaurants made exploring easy. The staff seemed unhelpful, requiring proactive inquiries to get essential information. The communal kitchen was not as clean as expected, and a vending machine for snacks or drinks would be a welcome addition.

Hospital proximity. Brookline restaurants. Good maid service. Architecture, turn of century building
High cost. Minimal size of room, hence discomfort. Negligible sense of hospitality by manager, though this offset by courtesy of assistant. No ice one evening. Survey does not include medical reason for visit; a ridiculous ommission given hospital proximity.

Consider requesting a second lock or deadbolt for added security if you're in a ground-level room.

The hotel with pleasantly decorated rooms, in an awesome area, in a great neighborhood. Incredible and handy location, within walking distance of everywhere. Plenty of food options approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the venue.
Beds were not great.

Friendly staff, communal kitchen, cute rooms with modern amenities, while the common areas were kept in the original antique decor (very beautiful). Walking distance from where I needed to go and from other fun areas of town like Coolidge Corner. Very close to multiple T stops. Quiet. Free internet.
No elevator. They do not serve breakfast.
